Résumé

Ce dossier est consacré aux démarches participatives mobilisées dans un objectif de transformation territoriale, soit par la coconstruction de projets ou de méthodes, soit par l’encapacitation et la politisation des acteurs locaux. Faisant suite à de nombreux travaux récents sur la mobilisation des sciences et démarches participatives dans le cadre de la gestion des ressources naturelles, de la production de connaissances ou de la coconstruction de la décision, ce dossier propose d’interroger la place de la méthode, des objets et du chercheur à travers une mise en récit de plusieurs expériences participatives. Le retour réflexif proposé par les chercheurs sur les démarches participatives qu’ils ont contribué à porter éclaire de manière originale certains aspects de la recherche habituellement peu mis en avant (itération méthodologique, difficultés liées au transfert de connaissance, posture multiple du chercheur-acteur), contribuant aux réflexions actuelles sur la mobilisation de ces outils pour l’accompagnement du changement dans les territoires.

Abstract

This thematic issue explores participatory approaches aimed at fostering territorial transformation, either through the co-construction of projects and methods or by empowering and politicizing local actors. Building on recent studies on the use of science and participatory approaches in natural resource management, knowledge production, and co-constructed decision-making, this issue examines the role of methods, research objects, and the researcher through the narration of various participatory experiences. Researchers’ reflexive analyses of the participatory approaches they have supported offer novel insights into often-overlooked aspects of research, such as methodological iteration, challenges in knowledge transfer, and the multifaceted role of the researcher-practitioner. In doing so, this issue contributes to ongoing discussions on leveraging these approaches to support change locally.
